2. June 2022

On 9 June, an unusual project starts on RWTH Aachen Campus: Hubert Heinrich, an artist from Aachen, will exhibit his works between 13 and 24 June in the Catholic Chaplainy – QuellPunkt in the Production Engineering Cluster. Curious? Here is an insight into the artist’s work:

Just as a stroboscope interrupts fluid movement, a camera shutter captures only a fraction of the time continuum as a supposed witness, the “time fragments” of artist Hubert Heinrichs also seem like paused film sequences. How long can this state be maintained in the eye of the beholder? Is the image the same if one allows oneself a blink? What if you close your eyes for a while?

In their reductiveness, the images burn themselves into the retina and the memory. They demand an almost painful focus and are at the same time one of the most aesthetic forms of constructivism.

The vernissage will take place on 9 June from 7 pm at QuellPunkt on Campus-Boulevard 30. The exhibition period with the works of the Aachen artist is from 13 to 15 and from 20 to 24 June from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day. Between 16 and 19 June, individual viewing appointments can be made with the artist (at info@quellpunkt.de or extension 0241 990 300 35). Admission is free.
