8. November 2023

In Science Year 2023, science, politics and society are taking a look from Earth into space – and back again – from a variety of perspectives. Inspired by the theme of “Our Universe”, the Catholic Chaplainy QuellPunkt at Campus Melaten has created a photo exhibition in collaboration with the physics department at RWTH Aachen University. The exhibition “A look into the universe” offers fascinating insights into research work, which is explained in short podcast episodes in conjunction with selected images. In addition, various perspectives on the universe are presented, allowing visitors to delve deep into the vastness of space.

The exhibition opening will take place on November 15, 2023 from 4:30 pm with mulled wine and waffles at Quellpunkt in the Production Engineering Cluster (Campus-Boulevard 30). At 7 p.m., Professor Achim Stahl, Head of Institute III Physics Institute B, will present the Einstein Telescope. Weather permitting, there will be an opportunity to take a look at the stars. The two jazz musicians Frank Sackenheim (saxophone) and Lars Duppler (piano) will provide the background music.

The ” A look into the universe” exhibition will then be open from November 16 to December 20. Mondays to Thursdays, from 9 am to 4 pm. Admission is free.
