The Japanese company Nikon has joined the community of the Aachen Center for Addititve Manunfacturing (ACAM). Together with companies and research institutions in the field of additive manufacturing, Nikon and the ACAM continue to develop the next generations of machines and accelerate the development of applications. The ACAM is part of the photonics cluster on RWTH Aachen Campus.

For the ACAM community, the addition of Nikon, a globally recognized provider of innovative and reliable imaging products, represents significant added value. In addition to decades of technological experience, Nikon offers a strong culture of innovation from which the community can benefit on many levels. In particular, Nikon has shown great commitment to the field of additive manufacturing in the past: The company has established an additive manufacturing department and offers a wide range of additive manufacturing products and services. In addition, Nikon is developing high-precision 3D printers suitable for a variety of applications, including prototyping, tooling and final product manufacturing.

“We are excited to welcome Nikon to the ACAM community,” said Professor Johannes Henrich Schleifenbaum, Managing Director of ACAM. “Their expertise in optical technology and commitment to innovation will be invaluable to our mission of advancing additive manufacturing.”
