At the beginning of August 2023, the foundation stone was laid for the Innovation Center for Digital Medicine and a new educational academy in Forckenbeckstraße. The construction phase of the second construction phase of the Biomedical Technology Cluster extends over two years. For this period, Frauenrath Unternehmensgruppe, which is investing in the second construction phase, Carpus + Partner and the design agency yella park have come up with something special: the concept of a “Living Construction Fence”. Inspired by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the three partners want to explore the question of a hopeful future together.
During the construction phase at Campus Melaten, different perspectives will be collected from citizens and visitors. On a total of 50 meters of construction fence, the answers will be published on 3,000 tiles with individual color gradients. Via this link you have the opportunity to leave your own answers to the question “What does the future mean to you?”. The different answers will be continuously transferred to the construction fence.
The inauguration of the construction fence project took place on September 6, 2023. Together, Frauenrath Unternehmensgruppe, Carpus + Partner and yella park presented the exciting project in the immediate vicinity of the CT² Center for Teaching and Training to invited guests. You are cordially invited to participate in the exciting project and share your thoughts on the future with others. Your contributions will help shape the Campus Melaten and our common future.
