24. June 2022

A congress at which around 100 top speakers will jointly shape the future over two days under the slogan “Creating the digital and sustainable future together”: On 28 and 29 June, the #neuland congress will take place in Aachen’s Liebig, which is considered a think tank for decision-makers from business, politics, science, the world of sport and culture, as well as for investors and start-ups. The initiator of the RWTH Aachen Campus, Prof. Günther Schuh, will take part in a panel discussion on the first day of the congress on the question “Future water economy – are we prepared? The #neuland congress is organised by Rhein Ruhr City GmbH and the Center Metropolitan Cities, which is located on RWTH Aachen Campus in the Smart Logistics Cluster.

The vision of #neuland is to connect and mobilise people in Europe’s fifth largest metropolitan region, Rhine-Ruhr. Therefore, one focus of the congress is on the question of what living and working in metropolitan regions of the future will look like – and what challenges, among others, connected mobility and digitalisation, the energy transition and climate change will bring. #neuland provides a framework for forward thinkers and actors who want to actively shape the future by removing barriers to innovation in regions in order to realise an economic and ecological future concept for a digitally connected and mobile region.
